Register of Psychotherapists
Each of the psychotherapists on this register is a practitioner
member of the Gestalt Centre and thus is registered with the United Kingdom
Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). This means that they are fully qualified,
covered by professional indemnity insurance and are required to be in regular
supervision. They provide a range of services including individual psychotherapy; psychotherapy
for couples; group psychotherapy and supervision. They also work with staff
teams as consultants and facilitators. Using additional skills, experience
and training, each member has developed particular areas of expertise and
created an individual style of working.

Tony Ambrose BA (Hons) Dip. Psych
is UKCP Registered and has been in the therapeutic field
for 23 years. His BA (1980) was in English Literature, Psychology & Art
History; he graduated with the Gestalt Centre as an individual and group
psychotherapist (1996) and in his practice integrates gestalt, mindfulness,
psychodynamic, cognitive and family perspectives. Tony has worked with psychotherapy
/ counselling trainees from various organisations, and as a supervisor,
group supervisor and facilitator. He was a counsellor with Trinity Hospice
Clapham (1990-93); CancerBACUP (1997-99); and is a co-founder, past counsellor
(1999-2004) and honorary member of the Cancer Counselling Trust. A central

Paul Amundsen
is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist with over 20 years' experience of counselling and group facilitation. He has worked therapeutically in education and health service settings with troubled adolescents and their families. He is a tutor on the Gestalt Centre's BACP accredited Diploma in Counselling course. In his private practice he works mainly with individual adults or couples. He offers brief and long term psychotherapy as well as supervision. His interest is in working holistically with all aspects of human experience, including the emotional, cultural, sexual and spiritual, in order to achieve greater awareness and integration. Amely Becker
has been drawing much of her life's orientation and
inspiration from the Gestalt perspective and methodology and also from Eastern
Thought, mainly through Tibetan Buddhism. She completed her Gestalt Psychotherapy
training in the late 80's and has since then maintained a private practice.
She has worked extensively with groups and individuals, and also offers
supervision. One of her interests lies in counselling on spiritual issues
of any orientation and how to bring a spiritual awareness into daily life.

Jon Blend MA, CQSW
is a UKCP Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist. His background
includes many years working as a counsellor with adults, children and families
in the health service and within schools. He also works as a musician with

Agnes Bryan PhD MA
is a UKCP Registered Gestalt adult psychotherapist with
a private practice in South West London and has worked extensively with
individuals and groups. She also offers executive coaching and supervision.
She works as a trainer/lecturer, Supervisor and Organisational Consultant
for statutory and voluntary organisations. She also works part-time at the

has a background in social services, mainly in mental
health. She has been involved in the humanistic movement since the 1970's

Michael Ellis MA
is a psychotherapist, trainer and consultant. He is
a Director of the Gestalt Centre and Admissions tutor for the MA Programme

Maureen Hancock UKCP

Jane Puddy (UKCP)
is a Gestalt Psychotherapist with many years' experience
teaching and supervising Gestalt practitioners in training. With a background
in Dramatherapy, Family Therapy and Group Analysis, she has worked in a

to the development of Counselling and Psychotherapy courses in the UK, Australia

Tommi Raisanen MSc, MA, B.Psy, C.Psychol
is a chartered counselling psychologist and a UKCP registered
Gestalt psychotherapist. He has worked many years in primary, secondary
as well as in acute psychiatric care in HMP prison service and in an international
arts education programme. He is part of Psychotherapeutic and Counselling
Psychology lecture team at the University of Surrey. Tommi's current interests
are images and imagination, myths, Jungian archetypes, creativity and family

Jonathan Smith MA
qualified as a Gestalt Psychotherapist in 1987. He now
works with individuals and groups as a therapist, supervisor and trainer.
He also works for Birkbeck College, University of London, as a lecturer

Maurice Veale
worked with children as a Residential Social Worker.
In the mid 1970's he worked intensively with Encounter and Primal therapy
in a self help therapeutic community. Later he trained in Bodymind Therapy
(a synthesis of Neo-reichian therapies and Gestalt) qualifying in 1984.
He is a graduate of the Gestalt Centre, London (1989) and also holds a Dip.
H.E. Humanistic Psychotherapy by Independent Study (1988). He is accredited

Jeremy Weinstein MA

Barbara Morgan
is a UKCP registered Gestalt Psychotherapist and Family
Constellations Practitioner working in private practice. She offers short

Alivia Rose
is a Senior Gestalt Psychotherapist, qualified at The Gestalt Centre 1983 U.K.C.P reg. She has developed an integrative approach, which draws on the psychoanalytic tradition. Anne Cole MA

Kay Lynn MA

Jennifer White
