Gestalt Centre in Primary Care
Our staff, students and graduates are involved in mental health work in various settings. Gestalt theory and practice emphasises the importance of the individual in their environment and we are very aware of changes in the structure of the NHS and the importance of counselling and psychotherapy in primary health care work. Our courses aim to continue to provide the very best in training that is relevant and appropriate to wider developments in the sphere of psychological therapies.

The breadth and depth of knowledge of the Faculty brings a rich diversity to the different training programmes with rigorous attention to therapeutic learning.

The Gestalt Centre and Groupwork
Groupwork is central to many facets of our training programmes, and the Psychotherapy Training Programme comprises of training in both individual and group psychotherapy. The Diploma in Counselling includes a module focusing on groupwork theory and practice. The large group/community process residentials are rare opportunities, which provide powerful learning experiences.

The weekly format of many of the courses offered provide an opportunity to build a learning community in which intense personal issues can be explored with safety.
